Finally, I had enough of constantly failing. I put myself on a strict, calorie-counting diet for 6 full months. I lost 40 pounds and 3 dress sizes...and came out the other side totally confused. I had NO IDEA what or how to eat to actually keep the weight off.
Cue more trial and many, many errors. My new clothes got tighter so I started a cycle of deprivation during the work weeks and binging on weekends. I felt totally out of control again and I was SCARED!
Finally, after seeing a naturopath to clear up my acne, I discovered that there was a way to eat to keep the fat off. I also realized that what I needed was a cohesive, sustainable and simple plan that focused on the foods MY body needed...not random fads from people online who aren’t even educated or certified in nutrition science.
I decided things had to be simpler. There HAD to be a way to keep the weight off without the daily battles with cravings and willpower, and without making eating out so damn difficult!
That’s when I sat down and focused on developing a method that worked for me and my hormones...because THAT, as I discovered, was what was behind all my struggles.
A hormonal imbalance!
And, once I figured out how to eat to balance the hormones that keep fat off and cravings at bay, my world changed big time!
This was my turning point.
After this, I realized I HAD to help others do the same. So I became certified in Holistic Nutrition.
